Tapping Compound
Kevlon™Tapping Compoundis a compound of base oil and additives, designed to meet the requirements for use in medium to heavy cutting operations. Its excellent lubricity promotes longer tool life, smoother finishes, and lower machining temperatures. The transparent quality of this oil provides closer observation of the work piece thereby improving accuracy and reducing errors. It does not produce any mist during operation.
Application
Tapping compound is used in a wide variety of machining operations, especially in medium and heavy tapping, cutting, and threading operations. It is also suitable for use in milling, drilling, turning and grinding, broaching, honing operations. It can be mixed with light duty cutting fluids for occasional difficult machining operations. Suitable for light to moderate machining operations of ferrous and non-ferrous material. For machining of hard to cut materials like alloy steels, high tensile steels and stainless steels. For difficult and delicate machining operations that demand very high quality finish and superior close tolerance results.
